Adedotun Adefehinti
Adedotun Adefehinti is the Director of Finance at My Bridge International UK,
bringing a wealth of experience from the public and private sectors. Adedotun began
his professional journey in the UK public sector as a Trainee Management Accountant
with the National Health Service (NHS). He then transitioned into the commercial and
industrial sectors, taking on increasingly significant roles in accounting and finance
across a range of major corporations, including Gillette, Barclays Bank, Woolworths,
General Electric (GE), and MBNA Europe.
Following his tenure at MBNA, Adedotun embarked on an entrepreneurial path,
playing a pivotal role in establishing the Sowatin Consulting Group. As an Associate
Partner, he was primarily responsible for business development, using his expertise to
drive growth and expand client relations.
Anticipating a shift in his domestic circumstances, Adedotun gradually entered semi-
retirement but continued contributing as a freelance provider of bookkeeping and
accountancy services, supporting small businesses primarily in Southeast England.
During this period, he also took on various fixed-term contracts, maintaining his
influence and impact within the finance sector.
In January 2020, Adedotun shifted his focus to the charity sector, where he found
renewed purpose and commitment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economic history,
is a Member of the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers and is an Affiliate of the
Association of Charity Independent Examiners. Additionally, he is a Part-Qualified
Accountant with the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, underscoring his
extensive expertise and qualifications in the field.
With his comprehensive financial acumen and dedication to charitable causes,
Adedotun plays a vital role in steering My Bridge International UK’s financial
strategy and operations, helping to drive its mission of fostering impactful and
sustainable change.
