Adedotun Adefehinti serves as the Director of Finance at My Bridge International UK, bringing a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors. His career journey is marked by a blend of corporate expertise and a deep commitment to charitable causes.

Adedotun began his professional career in the UK public sector as a Trainee Management Accountant with the National Health Service (NHS). He then transitioned into the commercial and industrial sectors, holding progressively significant roles in accounting and finance across major corporations, including Gillette, Barclays Bank, Woolworths, General Electric (GE), and MBNA Europe.

Following his tenure at MBNA, Adedotun pursued an entrepreneurial path, co-founding the Sowatin Consulting Group. As an Associate Partner, he played a pivotal role in business development, leveraging his expertise to drive growth and strengthen client relationships.

Anticipating changes in his personal circumstances, Adedotun gradually moved into semi-retirement while continuing to provide freelance bookkeeping and accountancy services to small businesses in Southeast England. During this period, he also undertook various fixed-term contracts, maintaining his influence within the finance sector.

In January 2020, Adedotun shifted his focus to the charity sector, where he found renewed purpose and a platform to apply his financial expertise to meaningful causes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic History, is a Member of the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers, and is an Affiliate of the Association of Charity Independent Examiners. Additionally, he is a Part-Qualified Accountant with the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, reflecting his robust qualifications and commitment to professional excellence.

With his comprehensive financial acumen and dedication to fostering impactful change, Adedotun plays a crucial role in shaping My Bridge International UK’s financial strategy and operations. His leadership ensures the organisation’s sustainability and its continued ability to deliver meaningful, lasting change.
