Jean-Michel’s passion for NGO work, particularly through My Bridge International, stems from his personal and professional experiences. Growing up in Cameroon, France and later pursuing education and a career in the UK as a medical physicist, Jean-Michel witnessed firsthand the stark contrasts in healthcare access between the two regions. He saw the dire consequences of inadequate medical resources and the wasted potential due to a lack of basic support in African communities.
His work is fueled by a profound belief that no one should suffer or die due to preventable causes —a belief that was solidified during his time in the medical field. Seeing the abundance of medical equipment and resources in the UK that often went to waste, Jean-Michel envisioned a way to bridge this gap, transforming surplus into life-saving tools for those in need.
